MEET FRANK

Frank J. Andreou is currently an Associate Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division, Motion Section.  Judge Andreou hears civil matters involving personal injury, medical malpractice and other complex litigation cases.  In 1995, Judge Andreou graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (The John Marshall Law School) and began his legal career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County.  He went on to work in a large Chicago law firm before co-founding Andreou & Casson, Ltd. where he was a principal and a trial attorney.  He has tried more than 60 jury trials to verdict, has tried several hundred bench trials and has written more than 70 appellate briefs.  He has argued before the Illinois Appellate Court and 7th Circuit Appellate Court. Frank’s areas of practice included personal injury; employment; and, commercial litigation in both federal and state court in both the trial and appellate courts. Frank is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court, Northern District, the Seventh Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Judge Andreou lives in Northbrook with his wife, Lina, and has two sons: John (19), a sophomore at Purdue University; and Chris (17), a senior at Glenbrook North High School.

Public service has always been a top priority for Judge Andreou.  From 2015 through 2019, Judge Andreou was elected to the District 27 School Board in Northbrook, Illinois, where he also served on the policy and finance committees.  Judge Andreou was a member of the Economic Development Committee of Northbrook which explored new ways to bring businesses to Northbrook.

Judge Andreou also serves as a Board Member of the Illinois Judges Association of Illinois, the North Suburban Bar Association, and is the Second Vice President of the Hellenic Bar Association.  Judge Andreou is also active in his Parish community at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview, where he coaches youth basketball and sings in the choir.
